RETREAT NIGHT // October 2nd - In studio - Shanti Bee Holistic and Wellbeing Centre (Online option also available)

SATURDAY OCTOBER 2ND - 6:30 - 8:30PM
Our next instalment of ‘Mini Retreat Night’ will be held in October; really one of the most perfect times to take time for yourself, to draw inwards, to appreciate the power of the summer that you have just experienced. The vibrance of the season you’ve just moved through, the gifts it brought into your life or perhaps the moments of hardship and struggle (just because it’s summer doesn’t necessarily mean everything is great all of the time!)
We use this moment in the year to take stock of it all and to feel into the sensation of transition that October will always bring. This time of year symbolically feels like a new beginning, a moment to leave behind what no longer serves you and make the most of this shifting, renewal, something different on the horizon energy.
We will come together to take two hours of Yin and Restorative Yoga, guided Meditations and inward journeying accompanied by a beautiful soundscape.
We use our practise to help us to quieten the mind, to relax and tune into the body in such a way that we find ourselves connected and drawn into something deeper. A ‘something’ which will help us to see where we need to get our internal ‘house in order’ ready for this symbolic new beginning. This ‘something’ we could call our higher self, we could call our soul, perhaps its our guides or god if this word resonates with you, it is that part of yourself - invisible, perhaps not rational, but a place, a space or a something that knows, that feels irrevocably true regardless of what our logical minds think about it. We tap into this space to be shown what it is that we need to leave behind and what it is that we need to bring forward with us. We let this space which feels intuitively like ancient wisdom show us the way.
As always I like to share these breakdowns of what reactions certain brainwave states are creating within your being because I think they sum up so so well the general feeling of these evenings…
Alpha brainwaves are dominant during quietly flowing thoughts, and in some meditative states. Alpha is 'the power of now', being here, in the present. Alpha is the resting state for the brain. Alpha waves aid overall mental coordination, calmness, alertness, mind/body integration and learning.
Theta brainwaves occur most often in sleep but are also dominant in deep meditation. Theta is our gateway to learning, memory, and intuition. In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within.
This event will take place at Shanti Bee Yoga Studio in Heaton. It is an in person event but an online option is available for anyone too far to travel or who just prefers to cosy up at home.
There are 4 price tiers to choose from depending on your personal circumstances please feel free to select whichever option is best for you right now.
If you have any questions or need any extra info just get in touch, look forward to seeing you all! XX
